How to reduce your carbon footprint
Climate Change is the long-term shift in average weather patterns across the world. If we are to avoid the most harmful effects of Climate Change, such as more extreme weather, warmer summers, wetter winters, and increased sea levels, we must take action to reduce our impacts on the environment now.
By measuring and reducing the carbon footprint of your everyday activities, you can lower your greenhouse gas emissions and your contribution to Climate Change. A carbon footprint isn’t just about numbers—it’s about understanding our impact and taking steps toward a more sustainable future. 🌍🌿
If you would like to understand your own carbon footprint, you can calculate your emissions using free online tools. The Environmental Footprint Calculator from the World Wildlife Fund, takes 5 minutes to complete and provides hints and tips on how to lower your carbon footprint. You can access WWF's calculator by clicking the logo below.
