Wealden District Council's Overview & Scrutiny (O&S) committee is made up of 12 members and meets six times a year, the chair of O&S committee is Cllr Graham Shaw.
To find out exactly what Overview & Scrutiny actually involves visit our website but essentially it is there to hold the decision makers of the council to account, to drive improvement across the organisation and to provide a voice for the public to raise concerns about how the council is being run. It will also, on occasion, question and scrutinise the performance of external organisations.

We are creating this page through our Let's Talk Wealden engagement site to give the people of Wealden the chance to be much more involved in the work of the committee. Working with Cllr Shaw, the engagement team at the council will create discussion forums themed around the specific committee agendas.
Use the forum to...
tell us what support is needed for residents or businesses
suggest how the community can help
or share practical hints and tips for others to benefit from
All of the feedback we receive will be collated and discussed with Councillor Graham Shaw, he will then present it at his discretion throughout the committee meeting as he feels is appropriate.
The Alliance for Wealden are determined to engage with all our communities, this forum is just one of the new ways we will hear the voices of our residents.
