Taking action on Climate Change
Climate Change is the long-term shift in average weather patterns across the world. In Wealden, this means we could face warmer summers, wetter winters, more extreme weather, and rising sea levels. To avoid the worst impacts, we must act now to reduce our carbon footprint and protect nature.
What is a Carbon Footprint?
Your carbon footprint is the total amount of greenhouse gases created by your everyday activities. It’s not just a number, it’s a way to understand your impact on the planet and the positive changes you can make.
You can calculate your footprint quickly with the WWF Environmental Footprint Calculator (it only takes 5 minutes), or more in depth Carbon Independent carbon footprint calculator. They will also give you personalised tips for reducing your impact.
