Consultation closed
The Draft 'Focused' Wealden Local Plan (Regulation 18) consultation ran from 6 February 2026 to 30 March 2026 and is now closed. Thank you to everyone who took part by attending exhibitions, reviewing documents and submitting comments.
The consultation provided an opportunity for residents, businesses, landowners and other stakeholders to comment on the Council's proposed growth strategy and planning policies before the next stage of the Local Plan was prepared.
What happened to the feedback?
The comments received during the Regulation 18 consultation have been considered alongside national planning policy, legal requirements and the Council's evidence base. This feedback helped inform the preparation of the next version of the Local Plan.
What happens next?
The Local Plan has now progressed to the Proposed Submission Local Plan (Regulation 19) stage. This is the version of the plan that the Council intends to submit for independent examination.
If you would like to find out more about the current stage of the Local Plan process, including how to make a representation and what happens next, please visit the Proposed Submission Local Plan (Regulation 19) page.
