Hi there I undertook the cuckoo trail yesterday raising money for kings college hospital i walked from shinewater park to Heathfield in 6hrs and then walked back finishing at Polegate as started feeling unwell, the return journey to Polegate i managed 5hrs 13 minutes, I absolutely loved the trail, but its missing a few things including toilet facilities, none whatsoever along the entire route, no refreshment stops, but you do have Horham cuckoo cafe and knights farm shop in Polegate, but all the while these places are literally only just off the trail, the actual trail itself has nothing and obviously you can also nip into Hailsham town centre plenty of restaurants and cafes there, also the section of the trail between Hellingly and Horham there is hardly any cuckoo trail signage and barely any seats or benches to sit and rest and lastly quite an odd one but the cuckoo trail starts at shinewater park but isn't recognised by any of the popular maps like Google it kept directing me to Hailsham cuckoo trail interchange
