Why is a new facility being built?
The project has been developed in response to long-standing pressure on local healthcare services and the need for improved community facilities for Mayfield and Five Ashes.
Who is delivering the project?
The project is being delivered jointly by Wealden District Council and Mayfield & Five Ashes Parish Council, with construction being undertaken by Sunninghill Construction, a Sussex-based contractor.
Will there be parking at the new facility?
Yes. The development includes accessible parking spaces and electric vehicle charging points. Works to the upper car park are already progressing as part of the construction programme.

The new health centre will provide purpose-built accommodation including GP consulting rooms, treatment rooms and supporting facilities designed to meet current and future healthcare needs within the parish.
