The competition is open to all primary school classes across Wealden, Rother and Hastings.
Only one entry per school class is permitted. If more than one is submitted, only the first will be accepted.
Entries must be submitted via the form attached to this web page.
The 20 shortlisted names will be selected at the start of December by a panel of East Sussex Joint Waste Partnership councillors.
All 20 shortlisted names will be displayed on one of the new Biffa food waste collection trucks, which will operate across Wealden, Rother and Hastings.
By entering the competition, the teacher is giving permission for the school and class name to be used on promotional material in relation to the 'name that food waste truck' campaign.
Should a shortlisted name be submitted more than once, the first entry received will be the one to receive the prize.
The prize is awarded conditionally upon acceptance. If the winner is unable to be contacted after 20 days or if any prize is unclaimed or declined within a reasonable period, the prize shall be deemed as unclaimed or unaccepted and a supplementary winner may be drawn at the East Sussex Joint Waste Partnership's discretion.
Incomplete entries and entries received after the competition closing date will not be accepted.
Entries not complying with the terms and conditions will be invalid.
Entrant’s data will be collected, stored and processed for the purposes of administering and assessing this competition.
Any winner decision is final, and the East Sussex Joint Waste Partnership reserve the right to suspend, postpone, cancel or amend the competition and / or review and revise these terms and conditions.
