Men’s Shed Builds Homes for Wildlife

The Herstmonceux Men’s Shed group is making a big difference for local wildlife along the Cuckoo Trail! They've crafted beautiful bird boxes and hedgehog houses, decorated to reflect the trail's heritage as a former steam railway line. These wildlife boxes will provide essential shelter for birds and hedgehogs during the winter months.

This initiative is part of the Cuckoo Trail Arts and Heritage Programme, funded by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund. The Men’s Shed group, known for its community spirit and dedication, is always welcoming new members to join their efforts in supporting local wildlife conservation.

Interested in joining the Men’s Shed? No specific skills required, just a love for community and a cup of tea! Contact Alan McInnes at 07946 604201 for more info.
